An understanding of how these biomarkers are influenced by these natural medicinal agents either by phosphorylation, ubiquitination, acetylation, or methylation; by degradation or by transcriptional or translational influences, for example, helps us map a path upstream and downstream of the target to unravel the full scope of a natural medicine’s potential.
